    Dimensions and Landing Gear

Every hangar door, taxiway margin and walk-around starts with knowing how big the aircraft actually is. This lesson collects the P2006T's principal external dimensions, its wing geometry, and the landing-gear measurements and tire sizes.

    Airframe dimensions

The P2006T spans 11.4 m (37.4 ft) from wing tip to wing tip, measures 8.7 m (28.5 ft) in length, and stands 2.58 m (8.46 ft) tall overall.

The wing has a surface of 14.76 m² (158.9 ft²) and a Mean Geometric Chord of 1.295 m (4.25 ft). Its dihedral is 1° and its aspect ratio is 8.80.

    Landing gear

The main landing gear is listed with a track of 2.0 m and a wheelbase of 2.9 m — two easily confused figures worth memorizing as a pair.

    • Main landing gear tire — 6.00-6

    • Nose landing gear tire — 5.00-5

    • What is the wingspan, in metres and in feet?

    • What are the main landing gear track and wheelbase — and which figure is which?

    • Which tire size is fitted to the nose landing gear, and which to the main landing gear?

    • What are the wing's surface area, dihedral and aspect ratio?
