Weight and Center of Gravity Limits

Weight and balance limits are set per category. The C.G. envelope narrows at its forward edge as the airplane gets heavier, while the aft limit stays put.

    At a glance

    • Maximum ramp weight (Normal / Utility)2558 / 2138 lb
    • Maximum weight (Normal / Utility)2550 / 2130 lb
    • Maximum baggage (Normal / Utility)200 / 0 lb
    • Normal C.G. at 2550 lb88.6–93.0 in
    • Utility C.G. at 2130 lb83.0–93.0 in
    • C.G. at 2050 lb and less (both categories)82.0–93.0 in
    • Datum78.4 in ahead of the wing leading edge

    Weight limits

    • Maximum ramp weight — 2558 lb Normal, 2138 lb Utility

    • Maximum weight — 2550 lb Normal, 2130 lb Utility

    • Maximum baggage — 200 lb Normal, 0 lb Utility

NOTE — The maximum weight as limited by performance is found in Section 5.

    Center of gravity limits

All C.G. limits are given in inches aft of the datum.

    Normal category

    • At 2550 lb — forward 88.6 in, rearward 93.0 in

    • At 2050 lb and less — forward 82.0 in, rearward 93.0 in

    Utility category

    • At 2130 lb — forward 83.0 in, rearward 93.0 in

    • At 2050 lb and less — forward 82.0 in, rearward 93.0 in

Between the points given, the limits vary in a straight line. The datum lies 78.4 inches forward of the wing leading edge, at the inboard intersection of the straight and tapered sections.

Proper loading is the responsibility of both the airplane owner and the pilot.
